Eagle Parts & Machinery. Inc. is a Georgia corporation started in 1984 by Shirley and William Russell. At the outset our goal was to supply carpet finishing departments with replacement parts for butt-seamers and other machines and services. However, our services were soon extended to sample departments and rug departments and the car mat industry.
In 1989, we were the first company to patent a butt-seamer that would sew a flat wide seam into almost every type of textile. These machines are specifically used to sew rolls of carpet or carpet backing to make a continuous roll for processing through tufting, dyeing, backing and shearing. Because this machine sews an extra wide over edge stitch the seam is flat when finished. When the seam is flat a much greater savings in carpet is realized. Our 70184EHW can be counted on to sew where most machines cannot. This machine will sew backed and unbacked carpet and carpet tiles. It will also operate in wet environments.
Eagle Parts & Machinery has sold machinery for sewing artificial turf for many years. We sell the single needle overedger and the double needle machine for either operation you might be interested in using. We also sell the hand held equipment needed to complete these jobs with the small sewing machine, the turf shears and hand sewing needles. Machines for use in the geo-textile industry, both in manufacturing plants and for use in the field, are also available as well.
We are now dealers for several sewing machine companies. These companies are: Union Special Corporation, Titan Sewing Machine, NC Carpet Binding, Wolf Cutting Knife, Oster Shears, Consew, Pegasus Sewing Machine of America and Juki of America.
We have new machines and high quality reconditioned machines. We stock a full line of parts for all machines that we sell, and offer service by factory-trained technicians. Shirley Russell is a legend in among North Georgia business owners, having overseen Eagle Parts & Machinery since the founding in 1984. She began working in the machinery business in 1968 and her years of experience backs a commitment to quality that has outlasted many competitors.

CFO and Sales
Melinda Kinsey been working beside Shirley to run the business the majority of her professional career. She is set to take on the resposiblity of preparing the company to overcome the challenges of operating in a smaller global world, where customers may be next door – or thousands of miles away.
